The entries are pouring in. Thanks to everyone who has applied to perform at the 2012 South Park Gardens Music Festival. And if you haven't, there's still time. Head over to our APPLY ONLINE page, and see if you qualify. Entry closes on Friday, 25th May, 2012.

This year's festival takes place on Saturday, 7th July, 2012, and will once again be host by Xfm DJ John Kennedy. John is passionate about new music, playing around 16 hours of it every week on his radio show Xposure. This your chance to get him to watch you play live!

Here is a new video from Vivenne Youel, who performed at South Park in 2011. I think you'll agree: it's very nice indeed.

We are also very pleased to announce that Merton Music Foundation's Concert Band will once again open the festival. The Lovely Norma Whitson will conduct.

SP 2012

We are very excited to announce that this year's South Park Gardens Music Festival has been given the go-ahead. It will take place on Saturday, 7th July, 2012 between 12pm and 8pm.

We are beginning our search for acts to perform at this year's bash. Think you've got what it takes? Head over to our APPLY ONLINE section, and see if you fit the bill.

Applications close on Friday, 25th May 2012, so get your skates on.

Last year was an amazing success - in fact last summer was pretty brilliant in general. You can watch a video all about it below, including some stuff about South Park Gardens Music Festival.

The video is quite long, so we wouldn't hold it against you if you skipped to the eleven minute mark and watched the South Park Gardens Music Festival bit.

New Photo Gallery

Merton Youth

If you pop over to our Gallery page, you can see a few new photos from last year's festival. If you have any photos or videos of the day, we'd love to see them. Email Jules if you've got something you'd like to share.

Above is a snap of the Merton Youth Concert Band. They opened the festival, and were amazing.

Xfm

Xfm

South Park Gardens Music Festival was featured on John Kennedy's Xfm Xposure show on Wednesday 29th June, when he played three of our acts - DJ Robin C, URAH.State and Legumes. On Thursday, 30th June, he gave URAH.State another spin and also gave an airing to Malory Torr's 'Milk and Cookies'. You can listen again in the little Soundcloud link below.

Here is John talking about the making of his Xfm radio show earlier this month.

Meanwhile, congratulations to 2010 performer Malory Torr, who is through to the finals of Live and Unsigned UK 2011. Above is a video of her storming the heats.

Her sister, Taylor Torr, is now making music videos, and is looking for acts to direct. If you think you've got something worth putting on screen, then check out her work here. If you'd like to get in touch with her, send us an email.
